Ah… Another succesful Food Trip! This time we chowed down on some Japanese food @ Sushi-X on 543 Diversey – a new location. A curtain of steel beads separated our private room from the general restaurant area giving us the freedom to do what we do… Eat, take pictures, repeat!

I’ve been craving for some Crispy Pata the last couple of weeks so I decided to write about it.
Crispy – from the Latin word crispus “curled”, began to mean “brittle” in the 1530’s.
Pata – in Spanish/Filipino means an animals Paw or Leg.

Put them together and you have the ultimate of Filipino dishes: Crispy Pata – Deep Fried Pork Knuckle. (YUM!) Crispy Pata is usually served as “pulutan”
