A new year is around the corner and I want to share my goals for 2009. I call it my “Crave List” instead of “New Year’s Resolution” because I can, and that’s the attitude that I will bring in 2009, “If I want it, I’ll get it.” This was mostly absent in 2008 but it’s time to just let it all out!
Coming into 2008, I actually did not have any goals in mind. My life was “blah”. I’m glad I found blogging this year – now its time to maximize what life has to offer. So here is my “Crave List”
#1. Get my weight down to 160 lbs.
According to my doctor I am currently obese. I don’t look like it, that’s the problem, but I am. I need to lose 56 lbs in 52 weeks (do the math to know how much I weigh now) That’s a constant loss of 1.08 lbs a week in 2009. I am getting married in 2010 so I need to look HOT by then. In fact I will put a tracker up in here to force me to keep the weight off.
#2. Earn $1,500 a week online.
I learned a whole bunch of ways to earn money online, but that was my problem in 2008, I just kept on learning but did not put any action into it. 2009 will be different as I will apply the things I have learned. $1,500 a week is $214 per day… or $9 bucks per hour for 24 hours. Because the internet is 24/7 I will not be limited to just an 8 hour work day to earn income.
#3. Debt Free by 2010.
Yes. This is the big one. I want myself and my fiancee to be debt free going into our Married life in 2010. This will be the ultimate accomplishment for 2009. This includes, student loans, credit cards, car loans, personal loans, and hopefully a big chunk of the mortgage too!
#4. Learn basic ‘Handy Man’ skills.
Honestly I am not very “handy” when it comes to the house or the car. I want to change that by taking some classes or learn from some experts. For example the HVAC unit at the house kept on messing up and we had to pay $550 for a simple repair that in hindsight any one of us would probably say “I could’ve done that myself.”
#5. Learn how to cook.
I do not know how to cook either. But in preparation for married life I’m gonna have to learn. This will actually be the basis for future FeedingTheCrave videos. =)
#6. Read more.
Read more books that will help me stretch my vision. This will also help me with #4 and #5.
Summary.
I just pretty much want to be a better person minus a quarter of myself… (get it?)

one of my goals is to be debt free as well, but then again i got a wife that tends to spend and shop online 24/7, which is like you said, the internet is opened 24/7 to spend money on as well. haha
one of my other goals is to also optimize my site enough to earn income from it as well, i did a lot of learning but yet hadnt implement anything in regards to that.
good luck with the coming new year and i hope you accomplished those goals you set forth.

Nice list Eric, I haven’t read your other posts but since you want to get in better shape for your future wife I can tell you are a good guy. I myself have to lose weight as well, at least 20 lbs in this year; I have a girlfriend and want her to be attracted to me for more than my personality!
Good luck and happy new year!
