If I Win JohnChow’s Contest You Win $100

Posted by Eric Tan

John Chow is holding a new contest to give away $6,000 in CASH! Here is the breakdown of this awesome prize: $5,000 would go to the charity of your choice (yes its the season of giving) and $1,000 will go to you to spend however you want. If you’ve participated in my previous contests you already know what I’m gonna do if I win, hence the Post Title. I will talk about that below, but first the Review on XR.com:

XR.com is the sponsor for this contest. XR.com is a tiny url service that will shorten the URL’s of your post or site. This service is essential for sending links out on Twitter or other social media tools which limits the number of characters you can post per message.

Let’s take the long URL of this post:
http://www.feedingthecrave.com/if-i-win-johnchows-contest-you-win-100
After I put it in XR.com it was reduced to just this:
http://xr.com/kzz

From the original 69 characters of the URL, XR.com shrunk it down to just 17 characters - Instantly freeing up 52 characters for me to promote the link, topic, product, etc… Definitely a useful tool.

Sign up for an account and check it out!

JohnChow’s deadline for entry is December 24, and the winner will be drawn on December 27 at the last Dot Com Pho of 2008. So follow @FeedingTheCrave and @JohnChowdotcom on twitter for the latest on this contest.

What’s in it for you?

You guys already know that I always give back, so I am turning this into a contest of my own. IF I win, I will donate the $5,000 to Correlacion Surampalty an organization that helps the Children in Ecuador and I will give $100 (through paypal) of the $1,000 prize to a FeedingTheCrave subscriber who does the following 5 steps:

#1 - Subcribe to Get my future posts Via Email - You will automatically be entered in my “Win an iPod Touch!” contest -  two birds with one stone! Also so we can contact you when you win. If you are subscribed already then proceed to #2.
#2 - Follow me at www.twitter.com/FeedingTheCrave - If you follow me already then proceed to #3.
#3 - Stumble This Post!.
#4 - Add to Technorati Favorites Technorati Favorite This Post!
