Laptop Shopping for a Friend

by Eric Tan on October 30, 2008 · 5 comments

Before my actual post, here is an entertaining video on what some people go through when they shop for a laptop entitled “Lap Top Wars”:

It can be stressful huh?
Anyway, a friend of mine asked me to find a laptop for her with the following requirements:

  • Under $500
  • Small and Light enough to fit in one of her purses
  • Fast and powerful enough to show illustrations to clients
  • Space for her songs and videos

Instead of just emailing her the information, I thought it would be a good idea to  just post it up here, just in case someone else out there is looking for the same thing. I think I found the ideal laptop for what she wants to have. Check out the Acer Aspire One AOA150-1435:

  • Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz
  • 8.9″ WSVGA
  • 1GB DDR2 SDRAM
  • 160GB HDD (not the standard 120GB HDD)
  • Windows XP Home
  • WiFi IEEE 802.11b/g
  • Built in Web Cam
  • 1.1″ Height x 9.8″ Width x 6.7″ Depth (Small enough to fit anywhere really)
  • 2.5hr Battery Life
  • Weighs only 2.3 lbs. (Light enough to throw around; but not recommended of course)
  • Price Tag $389.99 (way under $500)

Buy Acer Inspire One for only $389.99 Here!
You can also get an extra $25 off via rebate if you choose eBillme as the form of payment at check out.
