My First month blogging in review. I will be posting a review about my blogging education on a monthly basis. The goal for this set of posts is to document what I’ve learned about blogging, the mistakes and how to correct them, and that it could be used as a reference for future beginner bloggers.
Using Wordpress – This is my first time using Wordpress so there is still much to learn. During this first month I spent a lot of time playing around with the features. I found the following resources really helpful
About your Blog -You may have to dig deep to figure out what you want your blog to be about. Or simply just start blogging and figure out what you are comfortable blogging about as you go along. Either way you are going to have to find your voice.

Your Blog’s look – I spent some time also looking for Wordpress Themes that appealed to me. Below are links to what I found to be helpful when you are looking for your Blog’s look:

Post a Post - It took a couple of weeks for me to get comfortable. I came up with a posting schedule with my chosen topics for each of the different days of the week. This way I force myself into a habit to meet posting dead lines. It also forced me to get used to using Wordpress.

Statistics – To understand more about your audience, where they are coming from, what they like to read, what they like to click on etc… i found it helpful to see where you are and where you will be going with statistical data from these websites:
- Improve your online results with Google Analytics
- Burn your feed through FeedBurner.com
- Technorati.com - Blog Search Engine, bringing consumers to blog content.
- Alexa.com – Find out where your Blog ranks at.
Blog Monetization - I did not really think making money through blogging was attainable but these resources below has made it pretty straightforward. I will be applying their tips in the months to come.
