Papaya Cream Dessert

Have you had the Papaya Cream from Texas de Brazil? It is the best dessert I have ever had and thought I would make it at home for instant access everytime I would crave for it. I am not an Iron Chef by any means but this dessert was worth the mess I made!

Ingredients:
1 medium ripe papaya, cut up in chunks ~ Don’t cut too close to the skin, that’s on the bitter end.
2-3 scoops of Hagen Daaz vanilla ice cream (you can use your favorite brand of ice cream too)
1 tablespoon creme de cassis (optional)
~ The ingredients are simple enough, papaya and ice cream. If you are like me and don’t know what a ripe papaya looks like ask someone who would know. =)

Contraption:
1 Blender (with Puree button ~ oh yeah it helps!)

Directions:
Put cut up papaya chunks and ice cream in blender.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
Serve in dessert glasses.
Add Creme de Cassis if desired or put it on the side.
~ This recipe will be enough for two servings. It didn’t really take that long to make this, and I’m glad I tried to make it at home. As long as you get ripe papaya’s, you are good to go! Enjoy!
